The leather is taken from a horse's hindquarters – an area where the leather is smooth, rich and thick – and is durable, pliable, and doesn't crease. It is vegetable tanned for up to 6 months in Chicago. “Remborde” means that the upper and lining leathers are joined together seamlessly, as well as stitched, which makes the strap even longer-lasting. The cushioning on this strap makes it more comfortable.
